The
Physical Therapist Assistant will perform

description:
The
Physical Therapist Assistant will
maintain an environment of safety for
patients, self and others
Implement
individualized patient care programs
through the utilization of selected
physical therapy treatments, with full
consideration of patient safety needs
Document
treatment, response, and progress in
patient's chart
The
Physical Therapist Assistant will assist
with educating the patient and family
about treatment procedures to be
continued at home, with full
consideration of patient safety needs
Orient,
instruct, and direct work activities of
aides, volunteers, and students
Instruct,
motivate, and assist patients to learn
and improve functional activities such
as preambulation, transfer, ambulation,
and daily living activities
The
Physical Therapist Assistant will confer
with the physical therapist to exchange,
discuss, and evaluate patient
information for planning, modifying, and
coordinating treatment programs
He/She
will participate in clinics,
conferences, and continuing education
programs designed to improve patient
care and staff performance.
