The Tutor - Technical Institute will utilize tutorial learning materials and instructional aides to tutor students individually or in groups to review principles, solve problems and prepare students for test.

Job Description:

The Tutor - Technical Institute will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• Write individual tutoring plans upon review of student needs and course textbooks

• Create and maintain an outside network to direct students to when necessary

• Maintain student records as required and ensure confidentiality

• Research and recommend a selection of learning materials, textbooks, software and equipment to facilitate tutoring

• May design specific handout, study and related course materials.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Tutor - Technical Institute Job

• 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills
• Efficiently utilize a personal computer and related software
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of quality work
• Acquire and maintain licenses if applicable as required by state or accrediting commissions
• One tutor position requires an emphasis on composition, the other position requires an emphasis on mathematics
• The composition tutor requires 2 years of college course work completed
• The math tutor requires a bachelor's degree in Mathematics or closely related field
• Submit unofficial copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts along with application materials.
