The Teaching Artist will be responsible for supporting School's curriculum in the following areas: fashion design, music production, video production and film making.

The Teaching Artist will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• Prepare and develop class curriculum, lesson plans, supporting activities, small benchmark projects, finale expose project

• Lead and facilitate 2.5 hour classes

• Coordinate subject related trips, guest speakers, special events and student exhibitions

• Participate in staff planning meetings

• Perform other duties assigned.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Teaching Artist Job

• Knowledge in the following: Adobe CS3, Pro Tools, Pro Logic, Reason, Audio Production, music history, song writing, stage performance techniques and other applicable software for your field
• Commitment to teaching and providing continuity on a part time basis through the end of the school year
• Experience and enthusiasm working with high school youth
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on projects and curriculum
• Firm educational and/or practical background in the art of choice
• Personal portfolio and examples of past and/or present work via reel
• Ability to work 3pm-7pm/ Monday – Thursday.
