The Math Teacher Middle School will be responsible for planning and preparing lessons that are engaging and authentic.

Job Description:

The Math Teacher Middle School will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• Work collaboratively on a team and adhere to the State standards

• Provide rigorous instruction

• Work with fellow staff to ensure a whole child approach is taken

• Work with fellow teachers, partner with learning support teachers, and collaborate with School residential staff in order to ensure students’ social, emotional, and academic needs are met. 

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Math Teacher Middle School Job

• Experience in analyzing formative and summative assessments to differentiate instruction, design programming, and accommodate individual student and whole-group needs

• Demonstrated success in middle school instruction, especially in creating meaningful learning experiences

• Experience teaching students from poverty

• Demonstrated knowledge of current trends in education

• Experience in analyzing formative and summative assessments to guide instruction

• Commitment to high student achievement & support for all students

• Excellent organizational & communication skills including the use of evaluative feedback to improve student learning

• Ability to exercise various teaching strategies to increase students’ critical thinking skills

• Ability to work in a collaborative environment to develop interdisciplinary units

• Experience with the PA State Standards and PSSA’s.
