The Math Teacher Grades 8-12 will be responsible for creating curriculum for grade levels 6 –8 of all mathematics courses.

Job Description:

The Math Teacher Grades 8-12 will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• Teach the following subjects: General math and integrated math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Geometry, Pre-calc, Calculus, Math analysis, Consumer math, Business math

• Develop a curriculum map

• Review scope and sequence documents

• Write instruction

• Write assessments

• Write content for practice activities and games

• Review any and all of the above.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Math Teacher Grades 8-12 Job

• Familiarity with backwards design

• High degree of technology skills (i.e., user of general Office suite, internet, ftp, and educational software)

• 20+ hours per week available

• 3 years classroom experience

• Certification in the area of expertise

• Strong background in education, production of educational materials, and content area.
