Description:
The
High School Physics-Engineering Teacher will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Teach
courses pertaining to the
application of physical laws and
principles of engineering for the
development of machines, materials,
instruments, processes, and services
-
Give
advanced students the opportunity to
take challenging, college level
courses beyond anything offered by
the AP program
Prepare students
who plan to major in engineering or
related fields for their future
career.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For High School
Physics-Engineering Teacher Job
-
Experienced educator who has
successfully taught advanced
students in the fields of physics
and engineering
-
Experience teaching AP Physics B and
C, pre-AP Physics, and engineering
courses
-
Experience collaborating with a team
to develop young engineering program
and new classes
-
Experience designing curriculum for
engineering courses
-
Strong communication skills, both
written and verbal
-
Private school teaching experience
is a plus, as is university-level
teaching experience
-
CAD
and/or drafting skills
-
Experience working with an online
learning management system
-
Outreach experience, to assist in
recruiting students for the program,
and to make connections in the
community to provide students with
opportunities for internships, field
work, etc.
