Small Business Sales Manager Job Description

 

 

 

 


 

Job Summary:

The Small Business Sales Manager is responsible for implementing solutions-based sales strategies that uncover new business opportunities and manage account growth through subordinates within the Company Sales Group.

Job Description:

The Small Business Sales Manager will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Responsible for direct line hiring, coaching, development, and assignment of a team of Sales Executives and Account Managers within the assigned territory consisting of small businesses of 1 to 100 employees

  • Utilize advanced selling techniques and account management/solutions selling to coach team to succeed in data and wireless products and services

  • Create business plans to enhance sales, manage all administrative processes including timely communication of information, administration of compensation plans, performance management, funnel management, etc

  • Ensure market profitability through attainment of quotas

  • Build and maintain relationships with support functions within Company

  • Work closely with the retail channel to maximize small business sales

  • Continuously self educate to maintain a broad knowledge of wireless solutions, rate plans, complex products and services and selling skills

  • Facilitate maintenance (reducing churn) of existing small business base to drive sales

  • Serve as a liaison to the local business community by representing Company with local business associations

  • Maintain and consistently improve team's performance and enthusiasm while controlling costs and staying within budget guidelines.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Small Business Sales Manager Job

  • Three to five years successful sales management experience with a proven record of accomplishment in meeting quota and solution selling/account management

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Decision making and problem solving capabilities

  • Strong negotiation skills, confidently and aggressively seek new business

  • Ability to present professional image of self and Company

  • Proven sales leader

  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record, current auto insurance and reliable vehicle per transportation needs of market

  • Ability to travel.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Small Business Sales Manager Job

  • BA/BS in Business.
