The Senior Strategic Sales Executive - Public Sector is responsible for broker/consultant and direct sales to public sector customers (municipality, school districts, labor and union) in the 100 to 5,000 employee range. The principle focus is the sale of new business to sophisticated customers/brokers with an emphasis on ASO business and an indirect responsibility for the retention of existing accounts.

The Senior Strategic Sales Executive will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• Identify potential business customers in the Public Sector

• Accountable for prospect from presale to implementation

• Attain targeted sales goals for segment, region and business plan

• Produce sales resulting in profitable premium levels

• Lead functional team to achieve positive sales results

• Identify opportunities for ancillary/Enterprise products on all new sales

• Develop and maintain strong broker/consultant relationships

• Develop and maintain key internal relationships

• Understand customer and broker/consultant needs and provide value

• Identify key brokers/consultants for management development

• Present a positive image of Company in the marketplace

• Mentor sales execs, strategic account execs and account management staff where appropriate

• Maintain current knowledge of all Company products, services, and underwriting practices and principles. 

• 7-10 years experience consistently exceeding expectations/goals

• Track record of successful sales experience to the public sector including municipalities, school districts and union customers

• Strong consultative selling skills; sold healthcare products through direct sales or brokers

• Exceptional networking capabilities

• Sales insurance license maintained by law.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.
