Senior Commercial Cards Sales Representative II Job Description

 

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Senior Commercial Cards Sales Representative II is responsible for the timely, effective response to internally generated large complex corporate commercial card referrals and for managing existing large corporate commercial card relationships. Responsibilities range from initial contact to finalizing / closing the sale, meeting profit goals, working with operations to ensure that implementation is accurate and complete and providing follow-up relationship management servicing as required.

Job Description:

The Senior Commercial Cards Sales Representative II will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Maximize sales opportunities / sales cycle management

  • Work primarily in assigned territory / region, manage sales cycle for each prospect from initial contact through to close

  • Accurately identify needs and make product recommendations

  • Structure appropriate commercial card program that meets both the prospect’s needs/ expectations and the department’s profit goals

  • Prepare and deliver direct and indirect sales presentations, exhibiting pose and confidence with prospects, relationship managers and all levels of management

  • Develop creative, workable solutions to company-specific requirements

  • Adhere to department’s pledge of delivering superior customer service

  • Provide weekly activity reporting for sales reporting roll-up. 35%

  • Serve as relationship manager for existing accounts as assigned

  • Monitor customer satisfaction; assess effectiveness of current program, cross sell additional program services as appropriate

  • Analyze profitability /review fee structure of assigned accounts to ensure that relationship meets internal profit goals while still offering a sound, competitive value for the customer

  • Work with other commercial card areas (systems, operations, fraud, etc) to resolve any significant issues

  • Adhere to department’s pledge of delivering superior customer service

  • Maintain and constantly seek to improve commercial card knowledge / skill set

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of commercial card products and Citizens’ capabilities including but not limited to product type, pricing, structure, and features

  • Seek competitive information and assess competitive positioning

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationship with referral sources and understand the motivations / requirements of referral sources

  • Follow-up with referral source with timely and accurate updates

  • Maintain lead database information and maintain accurate call notes

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all commercial card areas including risk, fraud, systems, and operations

  • Work closely with each area to establish account relationships, resolve customer issues, develop products / services

  • Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures

  • Coach / mentor junior level sales team members

  • Complete required compliance training, Training University requirements

  • Assist with other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Senior Commercial Cards Sales Representative II Job

  • Minimum of 5 years sales and service experience, preferably with complex large corporate commercial card products and accounts

  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a time sensitive environment

  • PC literate with strong spreadsheet skills required; working knowledge of CFG’s loan and DDA system required; ability to learn other Bank systems specific to this product line

  • Proven ability to interface effectively with senior management, both in person and in writing. Strong presentation and communication skills.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Senior Commercial Cards Sales Representative II Job

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
