Program Advisor - Marketing and Sales Job Description

 

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Program Advisor - Marketing and Sales is responsible for designing, developing and implementing comprehensive training plans that support the objectives of Company's Marketing and Sales Academy programs. 

Job Description:

The Program Advisor - Marketing and Sales will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Provide development and deployment leadership and strategic direction for a global team

  • Manage process for assessing, planning and prioritizing needs related to Marketing and Sales programs across enterprises and geographies

  • Guide the efforts of the team in developing and executing assessments and sourcing and designing content

  • Leverage alternative delivery methods to scale offerings, match learner needs, and ensure high impact learning

  • Guide deployment of technology enabled systems and processes to improve efficiencies and scale

  • Support development and deployment of performance support tools to reinforce learning

  • Collaborate with business partners to maintain a consistent program core while addressing specific Business Unit, Function or Platform needs

  • Communicate regularly with corporate executives involved in steering committees and corporate governance models and SAP teams and process owners as appropriate to ensure program alignment and incorporation of new directives or changing priorities

  • Establish metrics that tie programs and services directly to business results

  • Identify best practice content, delivery methodologies and deployment processes across business platforms and geographies

  • Monitor effectiveness of training techniques and suitability of training programs for future application

  • Benchmark externally with comparable global organizations and incorporate key elements as appropriate

  • Based on direction from the Steering Committee and input from SME's, develop and/or revise core curriculum of the Marketing and Sales Academy programs for a global audience

  • Work with BUs and platforms to identify need for content customization, write case studies, collaborate with designers on creation of material, and provide direction to vendors on content development as needed

  • Develop and oversee program budget; approve program-related expenses and oversee billing process; manage the hiring and contract negotiation for external or internal services/resources as needed

  • Oversee selection, negotiation, and contracting processes within the Academy program portfolio. Build cohort of strategic learning partners as needed for content, methodology, facilitation, and coaching

  • Coach and mentor to ensure fit with corporate culture and adequate knowledge of related business issues.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Program Advisor - Marketing and Sales Job

  • 15+ years experience in sales and/or marketing management roles

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Business acumen and ability to influence all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and translate theory into practical applications

  • Ability to source, select, coach and evaluate supporting resources for program facilitation and coaching

  • Experience building high performance teams

  • Ability to cope with ambiguity and change

  • Proven business-partnering and consulting skills

  • Proven needs assessment skills

  • Ability to lead and leverage team strengths within a virtual, global team environment

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% of the time, both domestic and international.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Program Advisor - Marketing and Sales Job

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
