The
National Medicare Sales Leader is
responsible for the design and execution
of Company's Medicare sales programs.
Job
Description:
The
National Medicare Sales Leader will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
Lead
the development and execution of
sales processes and staffing models
for each target population, insuring
effective coordination and
integration with other functional
areas that are part of the
end-to-end process (e.g., marketing,
L&S, membership administration) and
also effective coordination between
national Telesales and MedicareNet
capabilities and regional Field
Sales teams
Insure that best sales practices
that are agreed upon are efficiently
and effectively implemented across
all Company Medicare sales units,
both national and regional, and are
implemented consistently across the
regions
Lead
development of sales metrics,
measures and competencies for sales
representatives and teams, and sales
compensation approaches, and insure
that sales processes and staff are
managed effectively based on those
competencies and measures
Establish processes for monitoring
sales progress against Company
Medicare sales targets and insure
that corrective actions are taken
when the business line is at risk of
not achieving the established
targets
Create effective collaboration with
commercial sales and account
management to address the Medicare
employer group market segments
Maintain an awareness of emerging
best practices in Medicare sales
among competitors and identify
practices that Company should
consider incorporating into its
sales processes
Lead
and/or participate in
cross-functional, national and
regional leadership teams to drive
understanding of changes needed in
the sales processes to meet Company
Medicare membership goals and build
alignment among key stakeholders and
senior Company leaders around the
implementation of required changes
Participate in the national Company
Medicare leadership group and
various State leadership forums
noted above to effectively advocate
for products, services, benefits,
pricing, marketing and other
strategic decisions that are
required for Company to achieve its
Medicare membership goals
Work
effectively with the Medicare
Business Leaders and senior regional
leaders in State and the ROC to
build alignment for decisions on
these and related areas that are
needed to achieve Company's Medicare
membership goals.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For National Medicare Sales Leader Job
10+
years of progressively responsible
experience in management and
leadership of major health care
sales operations
Thorough understanding of marketing
and sales principles and techniques,
particularly pertaining to Medicare
group and individual consumer sales
Demonstrated understanding of the
systematic, data-oriented approach
to consumer sales including lead
management, database marketing,
analytics, etc.
Thorough knowledge of CMS guidelines
related to sales to Medicare
beneficiaries
Excellent interpersonal, leadership,
team building, motivational,
negotiation and communication
skills; strong analytic and
problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated leadership skills
including: Drive for Results,
Partnership, Change Management,
Influence, Strategic/Systems
Thinking, Analytical Skills,
Compliance and People Management.
