Medicaid Sales Representative Job Description

 

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Medicaid Sales Representative is responsible for enrolling eligible Medicaid/Child Health Plus recipients at various sites throughout service area. 

Job Description:

The Medicaid Sales Representative will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Offer ongoing member education and member servicing

  • Maintain accurate records for reporting purposes

  • Accountability for meeting monthly targets for applications received.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Medicaid Sales Representative Job

  • Two-year degree or proven customer service experience in a health related field

  • Prior Social Service/Medicaid experience or two years work experience with one year in a sales related or community capacity

  • Familiar with State Medicaid/Child Health Plus programs and the needs of low-income populations

  • Community marketing experience and bi-lingual candidates

  • Valid driver's license and car

  • Interact effectively with the Medicaid population and within the corporate environment

  • Good writing and communication skills

  • Self motivated and enthusiastic personality

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
