Description:
The
VP Sales Transportation will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Define and set sales strategy for
team while working closely with
direct reports to ensure proper
implementation, follow-up and
follow-through of strategy
-
Successfully manage and engage the
team in software sales and solution
selling involving compelling value
propositions based on ROI
cost/benefit analysis
-
Execute sales process and strategy
for new and existing customers
-
Interface regularly with customers
and prospective customers to discuss
their needs and the long-term value
of Company solutions
-
Act
as executive leader to the customer,
providing corporate resources to
ensure the highest levels of
customer satisfaction
-
Provide sales forecasting, pipeline
development, and maintain the
operating budget
-
Monitor and report key information
and metrics to the Group
Vice-President and/or Senior
Vice-President
-
Meet
team sales quotas
-
Recruit, manage, motivate and retain
an experienced world-class sales
team
-
Set
and review both quarterly and annual
goals and objectives for all Sales
team members.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For VP Sales Transportation Job

Experience and success in
selling high value, long lead
time enterprise solutions
software ($500K and above and 6
months in duration for
individual transactions)

Experience selling
transportation and logistics
management software
-
5
plus years experience managing a
sales team
-
Experience and success selling
implementation consulting
services ($200K and above)
-
Proven sales quota attainment
track record ($3M annual quota
achievement and above)
-
Proven new business development
skills
-
Outstanding presentation,
facilitation, communication and
negotiation skills
-
Outstanding customer-focused
Account Management skills
-
Demonstrated sales track record
with Tier 1 and Tier 2
Manufacturers/Retailers (15+
years experience and above)
-
Knowledge and understanding of
supply chain industry pain
points and related cost drivers
-
Understanding of broad
competitive solution footprints
for the Retail information
systems marketplace
-
High comfort level and presence
with senior logistics executives
-
Ability to travel extensively.
