Receptionist-Switchboard Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Receptionist-Switchboard will be responsible for performing general office duties under the direction of the Manager. He/She will support Company's mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy.

Job Description:

The Receptionist-Switchboard will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Prepare and type correspondence, form letters and reports

  • Answer telephones and route calls

  • Greet visitors and customers, and conduct them to the appropriate location or person

  • Record the minutes of meetings and transcribing dictation as necessary

  • Complete forms and reports as required by Corporate, Regional and Area offices, as well as State and Federal Agencies

  • Set up and maintain all filing systems

  • Make copies of correspondence and other printed matter

  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and forms

  • Prepare purchase orders using the appropriate software

  • Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions and responsibilities

  • May perform payroll and personnel administrative functions

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager. 

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Receptionist-Switchboard Job

  • 6 months of relevant experience
  • Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal skills and friendly manner to greet patients and visitors
  • Pleasant telephone voice and manners.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Receptionist-Switchboard Job

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
