Receptionist - Security Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Receptionist - Security will be responsible for performing a variety of routine administrative tasks in support of the facility security function.

Job Description:

The Receptionist - Security will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Operate a switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing local and long-distance calls

  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of the facility security function, including assisting employees with obtaining ID badges and assisting with visit requests

  • Assist employees in acquiring security clearance when required via secured database

  • Greet, identify and direct visitors, and arrange for escort as appropriate

  • Verify security clearances of incoming visitors when required (use of JPAS which requires Secret clearance)

  • Maintain visitor logs and related documentation

  • May provide word-processing, typing, and other clerical support as requested

  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant DOD and company regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Participate in special projects as required.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Receptionist - Security Job

  • 0-1 years of related administrative experience, preferably in the industrial security field
  • Proficiency in filing, communications, prioritizing and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of protecting classified information, protecting company private information and NISPOM regulations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance. 

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Receptionist - Security Job

  • High School Diploma or GED.
