Job
Description:
The
Receptionist-Phlebotomy and Registration will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Answer
phones, schedule appointments, call
physician offices as requested and
provide information
-
Greet all
patients and visitors, and constantly
monitor the waiting area to assure a
timely and efficient service in the
Pre-operative Screening Department
-
Handle
customer service interactions, primarily
through telephone and personal contact
-
Perform
other
duties including daily operational
tasks, computer entry and general office
management activities as assigned by the
head nurse or charge nurse
Help the
lab technician when the laboratory is in
need of help
Register
the patient with the proper
identification, perform the phlebotomy
and label the specimen according to the
hospital policy
Perform
EKG's as requested.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Receptionist-Phlebotomy and
Registration Job

Knowledge of medical terminology
preferred
-
Computer skills preferred
-
1
year experience as a secretary
preferred
-
Prior
experience in registration preferred
-
Previous phlebotomy and EKG
experience preferred.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Receptionist-Phlebotomy and Registration Job
High
school diploma or equivalent.
