Description:
The
Practice Receptionist Pediatric Center will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Retrieve
and record patient activity for each
client visit to prepare for proper
billing information
-
Obtain client payments, verify
patient eligibility, and record all
pertinent insurance information
-
Cordially greet and receive clients,
ascertain their needs and
appropriately direct visitors and
callers
-
Perform a variety of receptionist
duties to include clerical and
filing to help maintain efficient
operations
-
Provide appropriate answers of
numerous phone calls, or direct the
caller to the proper place.

Good
telephone techniques

Ability to deal with public in a
tactful manner

Average verbal and writing skills

Good
physical and mental health, ability
to assist with heavy lifting and
capable of working under pressure

Ability to perform detailed
assignments, work accurately, follow
directions and assess priorities
-
Ability to demonstrate sincere
concern in caring for patients who
are ill, and willing to be
accountable for maintaining Hospital
standards of confidentiality

Good
Communication skills and ability to
deal with patients, their families
and visitors with patience and tact
-
One
to three years experience in
clerical or receptionist position
preferred
-
Prior
computer experience
-
Previous experience in a hospital
environment preferred.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Practice Receptionist Pediatric Center Job
High
School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of a Medical Terminology
course preferred.
