Optometrist Receptionist Job Description

 

 

 

Job Description:

The Optometrist Receptionist will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Greet and register patients

  • Enter patient informations

  • Answer, screen, sell and respond to telephone calls

  • Schedule appointments

  • Obtain insurance/financial information and coordinate verification

  • Respond to requests for data, reports and information

  • Direct patient flow and interact with other physician offices, etc.  

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Optometrist Receptionist Job

  • Ability to work Saturday and have flexible hours

  • Fast-learner, hard-worker

  • Ability to effectively interact with staff and all internal and external clients

  • Demonstrated friendly, helpful customer service

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work well independently

  • Previous patient registration, scheduling and performing sales

  • Medical knowledge is preferred but not as a requirement.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Optometrist Receptionist Job

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
