Department Assistant-Receptionist Job Description

 

 

 

Job Description:

The Department Assistant-Receptionist will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Answer the telephone

  • Perform typing/word processing of documents

  • Maintain calendars and set up meetings

  • Make travel arrangements, copy, fax, and greet visitors

  • Set up files, track expenses, and coordinate building and equipment maintenance. 

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Department Assistant-Receptionist Job

  • 1+ year of Direct Customer Service experience in a professional office setting such as a physician's office or insurance office
  • Intermediate MS Office skills; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • 2+ years previous Receptionist experience handling up to 20 incoming lines
  • Previous experience working in a hospice care environment highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Department Assistant-Receptionist Job

  • High School diploma/GED.
