Job Summary:
The
Registered Radiology Technologist will be
responsible for performing Radiology
exams and Fluoroscopic procedures on
patients of all ages. He/She will
maintain patients' safety. Job
Description:
The
Registered Radiology Technologist will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

The
Registered Radiology Technologist
will perform general radiology,
portable, and fluoroscopic
procedures (GIs, GUs,
pediatrics, arthrograms, spine center)
-
He/She will produce images of
optimal quality for
interpretation with accuracy and
without delay
-
Maintain documentation
requirements to ensure that all
technical data is entered timely
and accurately
-
The
Registered Radiology Technologist will
notify management and take
proper action to address
equipment malfunctions
-
Educate patients regarding
procedures, equipment and exam
to ensure understanding and
cooperation
-
The
Registered Radiology Technologist will
ensure patients' comfort and
safety during and after the exam
-
Assist with scheduling patient
procedures
-
Monitor and determine priority
of patients
-
The
Registered Radiology Technologist will
demonstrate the care and
operation of Radiology equipment
according to technical
specifications and applications
-
He/She will assist Radiologist
with fluoroscopic, GU, GI, and
pediatric procedures
-
The
Registered Radiology Technologist may be
required to rotate through all
diagnostic imaging modalities,
sites and/or locations
-
He/She will perform other duties
as assigned.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Registered Radiology
Technologist Job
-
The
Registered Radiology Technologist should
be knowledgeable in acquiring,
archiving, transmitting, and printing
images via PACS
-
When applicable,
he/she should be knowledgeable in after hours
transmission of images and appropriate
paperwork
-
The
Registered Radiology Technologist should
report immediately any
malfunctions to help desk and PACS
Administrator
-
Possess
knowledge in billing
via RIS
-
Provide instruction/mentoring
to new hires and Radiology students
-
The
Registered Radiology Technologist should
continually strive to learn new
technical information and skills through
attendance of periodic in-service
programs and participation in
professional affiliation sessions
-
He/She should possess
minimum one year experience as a
General Radiologic Technologist
-
He/She must be able
to lift or assist with lifting patients
of varying weight and manipulate
equipment daily.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For Registered
Radiology Technologist Job
-
Graduate of an AMA
approved school of Radiologic
Technology
-
ARRT Registered Technologist
-
RT(R) in
good standing
-
CPR certification.
