Job Summary:
The
Radiology Technology Specialist will be
responsible for providing appropriate
age specific care, education and imaging
services in conjunction with other
members of the defined health care team.

The
Radiology Technology Specialist will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

The
Radiology Specialist will prepare,
assemble, and adjust X-ray instruments
and materials, and assemble and
disassemble radiology equipment and
shelters
-
He/She
will ensure quality care is delivered to
patients
He/She
will participate in departmental QC and
Performance Improvement activities
The
Radiology Specialist will
assist in
leadership responsibility in the absence
of the department supervisor.

The
Radiology Specialist should demonstrate
ability to perform competencies as
outlined in Radiology Competency

He/She
should demonstrate age specific care as
outlines in unit Age Specific
competencies

He/She
should possess minimum one (1) year of
recent experience in an interventional
radiology or cath lab

The
Radiology Specialist must possess
Technical competence in aspects of
patient monitoring

Possess
ability to manage/prioritize during a
crisis or stressful situation
-
Excellent
interpersonal skills
-
The
Radiology Specialist must be able to
speak, read and follow instructions in
English

He/She
must be able to pass a physical exam and
meet legal and moral standards.

CA
CRT Certificate and Fluoroscopy
Certificate

ARRT
R (R) Certificate and Venipuncture/Contrast
Administration Certificate.
