Radiologic Tech - MR Job Description

 

 

 

Job Description:

The Radiologic Tech - MR will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • The Radiologic Tech - MR will produce high quality images that meet the standards established by the Organization's Clinic Radiology Department

  • He/She will practice safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients

  • Foster teamwork through effective communication

  • The Radiologic Tech - MR will maintain flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths.           

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Radiologic Tech - MR Job

  • The Radiologic Tech - MR should have MRI experience
  •  Radiographer experience preferred
  •  He/She should be organized, efficient and multifunctional
  • The Radiologic Tech - MR should have the ability to work independently
  • He/She should possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate effective communication
  • Ability to work varied hours and shift lengths, which include days, evenings and weekends. On-call shifts require pager response for after hour nights, weekends and holiday coverage
  • The Radiologic Tech - MR should possess competence in a variety of equipment and technology.     

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Radiologic Tech - MR Job

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program
  • ARRT certified in Radiography or registry
  • ARRT certification required within 90 days after start of employment
  • Annual documentation of ARRT certification required
  • ARRT-MR registry preferred
  • Advanced certification and documentation may be required
  • Advanced modality specific certification within 1 year of employment
  • CPR certification.
