Job Summary:
The
Buyer Radiology & Laboratory will act as
an official buying agent for the
Organization and promote the most
effective use of the organization's
funds in the acquisition of inventory
products.Job
Description:
The
Buyer Radiology & Laboratory will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
The
Buyer Radiology & Laboratory will
perform the daily ordering functions,
and serve as the primary liaison with
internal customers and suppliers
-
With a
high degree of independence, he/she will
procure supplies and services in a cost
effective and ethical manner
-
Conduct
negotiations, bids and analysis, and/or
researches goods and services needed by
the hospital
-
The
Radiology & Laboratory Buyer will
maintain the Materials Management Item
Master while adhering to established
Hospital and Purchasing Department
policies and procedures
-
He/She
will assure products are available when
customers need them
-
The
Radiology & Laboratory Buyer will also
support the utilization of products and
equipment through standardization,
contract utilization, value analysis and
cost efficient suppliers
-
He/She
will build and maintain Purchasing and
Supply Chain reports from internal and
external data sources to support the
requirements and goals of the Purchasing
Department. This includes information
and analysis of supply consumption,
costs, quality and other information to
facilitate effective management
reporting, financial reporting and
ensure verification and compliance with
supplier agreements

The
Radiology & Laboratory Buyer will
actively participate in Organization's
communities, the Value Analysis team and
other organizational functions as
needed.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Buyer Radiology & Laboratory Job
-
The
Radiology & Laboratory Buyer should have
a minimum of 2 years of
buying/purchasing experience and years
of buying/purchasing experience in
healthcare or related field
-
Purchasing surgical products and
instrumentation preferred
-
Inventory, material delivery purchasing
experience highly desired
-
The
Radiology & Laboratory Buyer must have
experience utilizing purchasing/supply
chain computer systems; Lawson
experienced and comprehensive knowledge
and skills in operating EDI systems
desired
-
He/She
should have the ability to understand
and exceed customer expectations
-
Possess
good communication skills, strong
computer skills including MS Word and
Excel
-
The
Radiology & Laboratory Buyer should have
the ability to manage multiple tasks
-
Ability
to work independently with little or no
supervision
-
He/She
should be able to prioritize and meet
required deadlines
-
Ability
to accept and participate in change
-
The
Radiology & Laboratory Buyer must have
the ability to work in a fast paced
environment, juggle competing demands

He/She

must have prior experience in
