Job Description:

The Meeting & Event Planner will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • The Meeting & Event Planner will coordinate, plan and manage various firm meetings and events

  • Provide ongoing project support to the Travel & Meeting Director.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Meeting & Event Planner Job

  • The Meeting & Event Planner must be able to plan and coordinate all aspects of a meeting/event, build and meet timelines
  • He/She should be able to prioritize and multitask effectively in a deadline driven environment
  • The Meeting & Event Planner must have superb attention to detail and follow-through and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • He/She must have basic negotiation skills and significant competency in working with online meeting registration tools
  • He/She must be competent in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and have knowledge of hospitality and travel industry terminology, rules and programs
  • The Meeting & Event Planner must be a creative thinker and have the ability to collect and analyze detailed information
  • He/She must have knowledge of the rules of business etiquette.   

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Meeting & Event Planner Job

  • Associates Degree and a minimum of five years of administrative experience, or equivalent, and prior experience in meeting and event planning.
