Medical Office Specialist will perform

Medical Office Specialist will work at
the reception desk

He/She
will communicate with patients and
providers

Schedule,
cancel, and reschedule patient
appointments

Medical Office Specialist will remind
patients of upcoming appointments and
track missed appointments

He/She
will answer multiple telephones and
accurately document messages

The
Medical Office Specialist will forward
telephone calls appropriately and follow
up on return calls

Check-in
patients and properly document
registration

Perform
insurance verification and verification
of patient demographics

The
Medical Office Specialist will file
medical records

Retrieve
medical records and deliver to
appropriate providers or department

File
patient and administrative files

The
Medical Office Specialist will copy and
fax duties

Collect
co-pays and cash from patients, get
authorization on credit cards

charges, payments, and balance the day
in the computer.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
