Strategic Director Product Marketing Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Strategic Director Product Marketing, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, will manage a team focused on growing our B2B revenue. Part of his/her job will entail an “outside-in” view of the marketplace, focusing on customer needs and segmentation, competitive tracking and strategy development. The other part of the role will be “inside-out” focused with emphasis on demand generation and sales enablement programs. He/She will be responsible for driving both SMB and enterprise sales.

The Strategic Director Product Marketing will draw on many aspects of his/her marketing expertise and employ creative techniques for reaching recruiters and hiring managers. He/She will craft and execute a segment attack plan and manage the development of Company's messaging, employer website and sales tools.

Working with the Senior Manager of Marketing Automation, the Strategic Director of Product Marketing will design content and campaigns to acquire and nurture prospects through their buying cycle. He/She will also track competitive moves and make recommendations for Company's product roadmap. His/her ultimate goal will be to grow Company's marketing-qualified leads and number of paid job listings.

Job Description:

The Strategic Director Product Marketing will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Market strategy – define which segments to target & how to reach them

  • Messaging & positioning – craft content for use in Company collateral, website & sales training

  • Acquire customers – design and execute campaigns

  • Retain customers – design and execute campaigns

  • Website – increase conversions

  • Sales tools – identify and develop necessary sales tools

  • Competitive assessment – formulate quarterly recommendations

  • Market research – assess customer needs and formulate quarterly recommendations

  • Launches – promote new functionality to customers & press

  • Manage growing team.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Strategic Director Product Marketing Job

  • Strategic thinker

  • Demonstrated track record running effective B2B customer acquisition campaigns

  • Deep email marketing expertise – marketing automation experience a plus

  • Experienced with A/B testing and landing page design

  • Strong analytical skills and performance marketing orientation

  • Creative marketer

  • Excellent written & oral communication

  • Strong leadership skills – able to persuade others.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Strategic Director of Product Marketing Job

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
