Marketing Programs Manager Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Marketing Programs Manager will take Company acquisition and reacquisition efforts to the next level. He/She will develop new 360 campaigns to keep both Company's institution and individual enrollments growing; reactivate old relationships for bigger contributions.

Job Description:

The Marketing Programs Manager will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Deliver innovative and effective programs that generate leads and revenue, including email, webinars, online ads, landing pages and white paper programs

  • Generate demand through effective nurturing campaigns that address buyer motivation and educate leads about cloud computing and the company

  • Create and develop campaign playbooks, call scripts, email templates and offers to improve lead followup effectiveness

  • Develop creative/content most relevant for the programs, working together with Product Marketing and Inbound

  • Write copy for emails and landing pages, working closely with Product Marketing and Inbound on messaging and copywriting best practices

  • Manage all aspects of campaign creative through program lifecycle, including design, coding and editing, test design and creation, quality assurance and implementation of automated and scheduled. emails, including newsletters, post-webinar follow up, post-event follow up and sales follow up emails

  • Work closely with Marketing Operations Manager to define automated lead management programs including lead scoring

  • Develop media testing methodologies and best practices

  • Develop programs to manage leads over the entire customer lifecycle, from prospect to opportunity to sale to churn

  • Generate and manage email to prospect and customer lists

  • Create, develop and manage lead nurturing programs and email templates for trigger-based and drip communications that move prospects through the buying cycle

  • Work closely with sales to test and develop sales follow up email templates

  • Plan, negotiate and execute online media programs for acquiring new customers

  • Develop performance-driven media buys within a provided budget to meet the needs of the overall strategic media plan, revenue goals and campaign requirements

  • Identify and source paid channels to target personas and industry segments

  • Manage and develop multiple vendor and partner relationships

  • Research, evaluate and analyze new marketing opportunities and proposals in order to make action-driven recommendations

  • Manage campaign budgets

  • Point person for all campaign deliverables, tracking and optimization

  • Work closely with internal teams to execute campaigns (Marketing Operations, Web, etc.)

  • Assemble creative specs for media buys and assess project needs

  • Coordinate and traffic campaign materials to partners, vendors, and internal groups, communicating specific campaign instructions and/or details by the provided due date

  • Manage all creative deliverables to partners and/or vendors for timely campaign start dates

  • Optimize media campaigns on a weekly basis against goals, activity and revenue targets - providing status reports on a regular basis

  • QA of creative materials including emails and landing pages

  • Provide approvals before campaigns going live

  • Assist Marketing Coordinator with webinar program management

  • Work with Marketing Operations, Marketo and Salesforce.com for executing campaigns and tracking results

  • Build, execute, manage and report on marketing programs that generate demand

  • Develop campaign metrics and track performance

  • Deliver regular comprehensive campaign analysis, reporting and updates to internal teams

  • Troubleshoot a wide range of issues as it relates to program tracking, reporting and content/creative

  • Gather feedback through direct interviews of prospects and customers to constantly improve the usefulness of our channels, messages and offers

  • Work with product marketing to test and improve messaging and understanding of buyer behaviors at key funnel stages.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Marketing Programs Manager Job

  • Passionate about acquiring new customers; avid tester with a seemingly endless list of ideas to try
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills (writing samples will be requested)
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in managing numbers and budgets
  • Results-oriented, extremely proactive and highly responsive with great attention to detail
  • Ability to manage day-to-day program execution
  • High energy and thrives in team-oriented culture and knows how to have fun while working hard
  • Excellent computer skills
  • 4-6 years in a similar Marketing and Sales programs role with 2 years of Sales experience
  • B2B marketing experience preferred
  • 2 years of proven successful experience with customer acquisition through paid online media buying
  • Successful track record in managing online demand generation programs to a customer or prospect base using email marketing and other online channels
  • Experience negotiating and managing delivery of campaigns
  • HTML familiarity preferred
  • Experience developing lead nurturing, event registration and complex marketing programs which utilize lead scoring
  • Previous working experience with Marketo, Eloqua or similar marketing automation software preferred
  • Previous working experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM system preferred
  • Data and metrics oriented culture in which analytics and problem solving skills are embedded in the culture.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Marketing Programs Manager Job
