Marketing Operations Strategist Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Marketing Operations Strategist will be responsible for leading marketing research design, project management and report out of insights to the relevant business units.

Job Description:

The Marketing Operations Strategist will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Drive the learning agenda for the M&A business

  • Understand the businesses’ M&A strategy sufficiently to proactively recommend areas of investigation and learning

  • Reach out to support and collaborate with other business functions

  • Provide consultation, influence decisions, and identify and resolve critical issues

  • Support all functions within the M&A division by conducting primary and secondary market research

  • Manage the research process

  • Collect and analyze data from across sources to identify market trends and potentials, competitive forces, penetration strategies, user biases and preferences, and similar parameters of the marketplace

  • Build external alliances with customers and industry experts to gain and share information and industry trends

  • Coordinate multiple external suppliers on design alternatives, executional conflicts and analytical options and provides actionable results and effective business judgment and decision

  • Collaboratively, develop research plans to address business needs of project and brand teams with input from director

  • Perform successful project management, development of and adherence to timelines and cost targets

  • Provide consultation and guidance based on market research to the M&A division and related Business Units during the various stages of a merger or acquisition.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Marketing Operations Strategist Job

  • Approximately 8 years in Market Research and/or Strategic Marketing
  • 2+ years experience in Market Research
  • Strong strategic marketing skills will be a big plus
  • Strong willingness and curiosity to learn
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to interact with executive management
  • Strong influence and persuasion skills with the ability to stand alone in an argument, push unpopular points of views, and participate in constructive conflict
  • Understanding of a vast array of Market Research tools – ability to apply this knowledge to solving business problems
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Ability to leverage current knowledge and research to present a point of view on topics facing the M&A division.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Marketing Operations Strategist Job

  • Bachelors Degree.
