Inside Marketing Representative Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Inside Marketing Representative will be responsible for extending market coverage in each segment for Sales as well as for Services by executing outbound campaigns via phone and email which produce leads to support sales pipeline.

The Inside Marketing Representative works directly for the Inside Marketing Manager (IMM) under the guidance of a Supervisor and also works closely together with Field Marketing, external vendors and with ISEs.

Job Description:

The Inside Marketing Representative will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Plan activities to generate leads using the most efficient means in collaboration with the Marketing Manager

  • Align with sales colleagues for most effective execution planning and covering all routes to market

  • Generate and qualify leads through proper means (cold calling, phone campaigns, web-chats, email actions, etc.) (60% of time for outbound agents)

  • Pass qualified leads to Inside or Field sales resource (10% of time)

  • Regularly review of lead pipeline and progression

  • Proactively give qualitative and quantitative feedback to marketing on campaigns (10% of time for inbound and outbound agents)

  • Document all the campaign execution and lead management activities using corporate systems correctly (10% of time for outbound agents)

  • Participate in activities to enhance lead generation skills.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Inside Marketing Representative Job

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications with the ability to manipulate data quickly and accurately in Excel

  • Ability to communicate effectively with SVP level managers both internally and externally

  • Three plus years sales experience. Property & Casualty insurance / Financial industry experience a plus

  • Analytical problem solving – Ability to gather and analyze facts and data, draw correct inferences from the information: weighs alternatives and presents logical solutions to problems

  • Organization and Planning – Ability to manage own time, activities; identify specific activities required to accomplish objectives, rank then in order of importance and coordinate and take action to achieve desired results

  • Communication – Ability to convey ideas and information in a clear, concise and persuasive manner; adjust presentation to different audiences

  • Team Participation – Ability to contribute to the common effort

  • Customer Service – Ability to develop good rapport with agents and other company personnel; conduct activities in a manner which enhances company reputation.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Inside Marketing Representative Job

  • Bachelor's degree.
