Job Summary:
The
Director Product Marketing - Small
Business, reporting to the VP & GM of
Small Business, will be responsible for
developing a keen understanding of the
Small Business hiring landscape, and
creating strategies that leverage
Company’s products to support the needs
and address the pain points of the Small
Business market.
He/She
will
identify the best opportunities to grow
Company’s Small Business accounts,
collaborating with Product Management on
new product development as well as
Marketing on communication strategies to
capitalize on these opportunities. The
Director Product Marketing - Small
Business
will also
identify opportunities and forge strong
partnerships with 3rd parties to market
and sell Company's offering to new
audiences.

Description:
The
Director Product Marketing - Small
Business will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Small
Business Insights – conduct primary and
secondary research to deeply understand
the hiring processes and needs and pain
points of Small Businesses and identify
opportunities for Company to address
those needs
-
Competitive Differentiation – understand
the current and emerging competitive set
and their products and positioning;
identify areas where Company can
continue to differentiate itself in the
market as well as improvements needed to
compete
-
Strategy
Development – use customer insights and
knowledge about the SMB market to:
segment the market and prioritize target
segments, develop compelling value
propositions to unique audiences,
identify new features and new products
that address additional hiring pains
-
Partnership/Channel development -
identify best potential partners that
could help market and acquire new small
business customers, work with business
development manager to formalize the
relationships, and work with partners to
launch, evangelize and continuously
improve the programs.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

Business Job

7+
years of experience in product
marketing, product management and/or
strategy development
-
Innate customer-orientation
-
Experience conducting consumer
research and analyzing data to
develop customer insights
-
Strong combination of strategic,
practical and creative-thinking
skills
-
Excellent communication skills –
both written and oral – and ability
to communicate effectively with
different constituents
-
Leadership presence and ability to
influence all levels of the
organization
-
Motivation and tenacity to get the
job done
-
Experience working with the Small
Business market a plus.
Minimum Education Requirements /
