Job Summary:
The
Director Marketing Communications -
Insurance
will be responsible for developing
marketing communications and event
strategies for Commercial Markets.
He/She will manage the creation of
short-term and long-term strategic
marketing communications programs to
assist the field organization in
acquiring, developing and retaining
customers.
The
Director Marketing Communications -
Insurance will also be responsible for
Commercial Markets event strategy and
execution. He/She will manage vendors to
ensure effective marketing
communications programs; establish and
evaluate metrics, performance benchmarks
and budget for events and marketing
communications programs, as well as
manage a team of marketing
communications professionals.

The
Director Marketing Communications -
Insurance will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Work with
distribution and service organization to
better understand sales and service
support needs and uses that knowledge to
inform event and marketing
communications strategy
-
Interact
with the field and functional leaders to
understand regional and corporate
business challenges and marketing
opportunities
-
Develop
marketing communications strategies for
Commercial Markets. This strategy lays
the foundation for the development of
events and marketing communications
programs to assist the field
organization in the acquisition,
development and retention of customers,
agents and brokers
-
Help
define and execute marketing strategy
for corporate and regional events
-
Define
and execute compelling integrated
communications programs to support the
agent/broker development continuum and
customer sales cycle
-
Support
the Proposal and Stewardship process
with integrated templates, key messaging
and materials
-
Track,
report and measure effectiveness of
marketing programs and activities across
tools and time to validate investments
-
Set the
direction for the team, manage outside
vendors and manage the creative approach
for all events and select communications
programs
-
Manage
project deadlines and timetables for
multi-million dollar budget
-
Project
or forecast future internal and external
needs
-
Develop
short and long-term marketing
communications objectives
-
Manage a
team of marketing communications
professionals.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Director Marketing
Communications - Insurance Job

10-12
years of strategic event marketing &
marketing communications experience
-
Working knowledge of insurance,
including products, customers, and
distribution
-
Ability to think strategically and
to manage project teams
-
High
level of creativity, strong
decision-making and negotiating
skills with an ability to
communicate with all levels of the
organization
-
Well-versed
knowledge of marketing principles
and practices
Strong presentation, written and
oral communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in communications
or equivalent experience
