Account Manager/Project Manager - Marketing Communications Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Account Manager/Project Manager - Marketing Communications will be responsible for developing departmental projects. He/she will manage implementation and maintenance of projects and process improvement initiatives; coordinate interdepartmental resources, develop project plans and process flows. 

Job Description:

The Account Manager/Project Manager - Marketing Communications will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Serve a chief liaison between marketing and creative teams, overseeing and facilitating interaction and communication between the two

  • Communicate all project changes, especially timeline inhibitors and changes to project scope to both groups

  • Trouble shoots project changes and oversee creatively meeting the needs of the marketing managers while working within project guidelines and scope

  • Provide critical project management for creative team of designers and writers, including -- define project specifications and prepare spec sheets, enter projects into traffick system and monitor timelines and milestones, prepare budgets, assist in allocating internal and outsourced resources and communicate all aspects of project development to marketing staff

  • With Traffic/Production Manager, manage project timelines and assist in assigning workload achieving workload balance and setting/communicating departmental priorities

  • Responsible for implementing projects in such a way as to promote and support the success and profitability of marketing communications projects

  • Acquire thorough knowledge of client's business (disease state, product, competitors, etc.) so that challenges and opportunities may be anticipated and accounted for in creation of materials

  • With creative director, translate marketing strategies into compelling communication materials, conceptualizing best vehicles for message and implementing best practices for development

  • With marketing team, interact with health care clients (physicians, nurses, executive administrators) on an as-needed basis

  • Develop, implement and coordinate resources to complete complex projects and process improvement initiatives

  • Design process flows to support project scope

  • Develop, coordinate, implement and maintain complex project work plans

  • Prepare regular progress reports and distribute information as appropriate

  • Collect and organize project data results; analyze results, interpret control charts and produce reports that evaluate results

  • Make recommendations to improve results or to meet requirements

  • Facilitate meetings with multifunctional project representatives

  • Adhere to timelines and organizational expectations

  • Anticipate project team conflicts and proactively resolve conflicts to improve results

  • Partner with IT personnel to identify, evaluate and implement system enhancements designed to support project requirements. 

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Account Manager/Project Manager - Marketing Communications Job

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Performance Improvement principles and data management techniques
  • Five years of progressively responsible project management and supervisory experience in a large firm
  • Strong Communication, problem solving and computer skills (spreadsheets, databases and word processing
  • Ability to sitting and stand for long
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.  

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Account Manager/Project Manager - Marketing Communications Job

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business
  • Master's degree preferred.
