Project Manager - Release Management Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Project Manager - Release Management will be responsible for understanding the strategic direction of a release platform and determining the quantity and frequency of each release environment. He/She will drive predictability and success among multi-dimensional stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization.

Job Description:

The Project Manager - Release Management will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • The Project Manager - Release Management will create schedules and coordinate release activities in a highly matrixed environment

  • He/She will effectively manage release timelines, anticipate delays and proactively work to resolve issues

  • The Project Manager - Release Management will create, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of the release metrics and schedules

  • Assess the release progress and drive on time delivery

  • He/She will comply and support Quality Management System (QMS) and other regulatory requirements

  • The Project Manager - Release Management will coach and mentor project managers and build organization knowledge about release management activities, standards and processes

  • He/She will be aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

  • The Project Manager - Release Management will complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

  • The Project Manager - Release Management will be aware of and comply with the change management work instruction

  • He/She will be responsible for the validation of all GxP relevant applications and maintaining the validated state of those applications, including infrastructure qualification.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Project Manager - Release Management Job

  • The Project Manager - Release Management should  have minimum 2 years of project management experience
  • He/She should possess project management skills with documented track record of delivery
  • The Project Manager - Release Management must have strong analytical and organizational skills
  • High energy, self-directed individual
  • Flexible work schedule - able to adjust availability to work effectively with international teams
  • The Project Manager - Release Management must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to excel in a global matrix organization
  • Possess strong leadership skills
  • The Project Manager - Release Management should be analytic, creative and business focused problem solver
  • He/She should possess knowledge of Siebel or Oracle ERP applications
  • The Project Manager - Release Management must have strong understanding of internal GEHC processes and tools such as Resource Allocation Process, IT Project Management Process, ITG tool, Quality Center, Support Central and Workflow tools.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Project Manager - Release Management Job

  • BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent
  • Black Belt or Lean Six Sigma certified
  • Leadership Training Program Experience (IMLP, OMLP, FMP)
    PMP / ITIL certified
