Job Summary:
The
Program Manager, reporting to the
Director of Programs, will be
responsible for program leadership,
commitment to program success, and
building relationships with customers
and key suppliers, while meeting all
cost, schedule and technical
requirements of the program.

The
Program Manager will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
The
Program Manager will manage and lead a
matrixed team of dedicated professionals
on the successful execution of small
($10M to $20M) and medium ($20M to $50M)
fixed priced system programs
-
Support
the development of new business growth
strategies with the MRO organization
related to assigned program and products
-
Provide
support to Business Development in
pursuit of new opportunities
-
Continually monitor program performance
(technical, cost and schedule) on a
weekly basis through Program Management
Meetings (PMM)
-
The
Program Manager will maintain the Risks
and Opportunities register and execute
plans to retire and capture identified
Risks and Opportunities
-
Demonstrate the use of Continuous
Improvement (CI) tools within the
business
-
The
Program Manager will support RFP
response efforts overseeing the
development of specifications,
statements of work, WBS, cost
estimating, risk and opportunity
analysis, proposal response preparation,
and bid approval and submission
-
Develop
detailed program plans that cover
contract deliverables, program
milestones, requirements, payment
schedules, subcontracts definition,
technical work description, staffing,
integrated master schedules, and budgets
-
The
Program Manager will monitor and
maintain established Earn Value
Management system metrics for assigned
programs.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Program Manager Job
-
The
Program Manager should have three to
five years of Program Management
/Project Leadership experience
successfully developing and delivering
technically based advance systems
(preferably electro-optic) to defense
organizations
-
Excellent
skills in developing customer
relationships and fostering co-operation
between multiple foreign, domestic and
civilian customer communities
-
Excellent
organizational mentoring and leadership
skills in a matrixed environment
-
The
Program Manager should possess strong
written and oral communication skills
-
Working
knowledge of Earned Value management
-
The
Program Manager should be able to
support approximately 20-30% foreign and
domestic travel
-
He/She
must be able to plan, organize and
control assigned programs from
conceptual development to final stages
of production.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Program Manager Job

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering
discipline
-
Master's degree preferred
-
PMI
certification preferred.
