Operations Manager Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for In this position you will select, train and direct employees within the branch in order to achieve budgeted goals in the areas of sales, service, collections and expense control.

Job Description:

The Operations Manager will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • The Operations Manager will recruit, interview, hire and train the branch sales staff, service department and bookkeeping employees

  • Direct, monitor and motivate the branch sales staff to increase the customer base

  • Coordinate and direct the branch service department to service al customers

  • The Operations Manager will supervise the branch bookkeeping employees in the areas of data entry, accounts receivable and accounts payable

  • He/She will monitor and control expenses

  • The Operations Manager will plan, organize and inspect activities of termite control technicians

  • Handle complaint problems

  • The Operations Manager will perform other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Operations Manager Job

  • The Operations Manager should have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • The Operations Manager must be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • He/She must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • The Operations Manager must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • The Operations Manager should have basic understanding of Internet and e-mail processes, software applications, and basic computer hardware.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Operations Manager Job

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
