Job Summary:
The
Manager Corporate Communications will
lead a broad range of Company’s
corporate communications activities,
focusing primarily on extending the
company’s visibility in key markets to
support company initiatives, news and
milestones. He/She will also drive
communications initiatives for Company’s
early-stage pipeline of drug candidates
and for local community activities
(science festivals, community service
activities, Day of Service, science
education initiatives etc.).
Additionally, the Manager will provide
ongoing media relations and
communications support to the Product
Communications and Internal
Communications teams.

The
Manager Corporate Communications will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Lead
external communications initiatives for
key company milestones to generate local
visibility through the media and other
channels
-
Drive
communications programs for early-stage
drug candidates, research efforts and
related scientific activities
-
Provide
support for Company’s social media
initiatives, including the company’s
Twitter account and other emerging
social media channels
-
Prepare
Company spokespeople for media
interviews through creation of media
background documents and message tracks
-
Create
and manage website content to reflect
advancement of the company and to
communicate new company initiatives
-
Serve as
a corporate spokesperson
-
Ensure
integration of communications plans with
local community initiatives
-
Provide
broad support for Company Corporate
Communications team, as needed.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Manager Corporate
Communications Job
-
4 years
experience in managing communications
activities, including some experience in
health care and/or life sciences
-
Strong
media experience, relationships with
reporters and track record of generating
positive visibility through the media
and other channels
-
Ability
to understand scientific information and
data and to communicate it in simple
terms to media and to other lay
audiences
-
Ability
to communicate complex issues in a clear
and concise manner
-
Some
experience in scientific and policy
communications a plus
-
Outstanding verbal and written
communications skills, including ability
to serve in a spokesperson capacity
-
Understanding of the relevant business
model, regulatory process and
communications guidelines
-
Ability
to succeed in a fast-paced environment
with multiple, competing priorities
-
Willingness to think creatively and test
new and unproven communications
initiatives, tools etc.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Manager Corporate Communications Job

Bachelors’ degree, preferably in
Journalism, Communications or a related
field.
