Job Summary:
The
Fuels Business Manager
will be responsible for evaluating and
approving structured contract deals for
the North American fuels, sales &
marketing business. He/She will also be
responsible for managing and
developing a team of 7 to 9
managers/analysts in the group.Job

The
Fuels Business Manager will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Possess/develop and apply a
comprehensive, integrated knowledge
of the U.S. wholesale & Canadian
direct business value chains from
Refining to the street
-
Consider the impact of the
performance of the total North
American Fuels business by
developing appropriate balanced
scorecard metrics, establishing the
right targets and tracking and
reporting the results. (Primary
sales force IPF/bonus input)

Be a contributor in the
negotiations and deal structuring of
higher value new business
opportunities
-
Work carefully with Legal,
ensure that contract language is
clear, enforceable and able to be
administered
-
Provide the shareholder value
perspective on all business
opportunities and challenges by
determining the net present
value/cash flow of all deals
-
Apply a systems thinking approach
to business analysis by considering
external influences (market demand,
industry trends, economic factors,
customer and competitors reactions)
-
Lead the NA Fuels new business
assessment and proposal process
-
Establish direct & wholesale
channel key economic metrics and
their hurdles
-
Develop the annual terminal &
Canada direct investment margins
-
Champion the development of
analytical skills in the Business
Performance staff and a commercial
mindset throughout all of NA Fuels
-
Part of TnR development team,
special focus on volume and margin
logic plans.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Fuels Business Manager Job
-
Legal authorization to
work in the US on a full-time basis
for anyone other than current
employer
-
5 - 8 years experience in
the oil and gas industry as a
drilling engineer, engineering
consultant or product design/support
engineer
-
Seven (7) or more years
of Business Development experience
-
Five (5) or more years
of supervisory or managerial
experience
-
Experience or knowledge
of the retail and/or wholesale
business models
Experience with
financial aspects of business
contracts (Profit & Loss, valuation,
cash flow, rate of return, financial
risk assessment)
Oil and gas industry experience
preferred
Proven negotiating and deal
structuring skills.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Fuels Business Manager Job

Bachelor's degree in Business,
Finance, Accounting, Economics or a
related field

MBA is preferred.
