Franchise District Manager Job Description

 

 

 

Job Description:

The Franchise District Manager will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Leadership
    - Responsible for the operations of five franchise stores
    - Contribute to building a 5 star World Class Great Company
    - Support and promote the Company Pizza Vision and 5 Guiding Principles
    - Believe in the K3 Works relentless pursuit of constant improvement, innovations, training and sharing
    Training of General Managers, Assistant Managers and Crew
    - Inventory control and food cost management
    - POS training and labor cost training
    - Pre-plan/prioritize on-the-job coaching objectives before each store visit (Determine stores needs in reference to training, follow up, safety security, key numbers etc.)
    - Provide suggestive on-the-job coaching of key operations and management skills to General Manager, Assistant Manager and crew
    - Provide positive, constructive, and actionable feedback to GMs, AMs and Crew
    - Empower GMs and AMs to take full accountability for store performance
    - Evaluate management needs for the area and staff according to needs

  • Operational Oversite in all Stores
    - Reinforce execution of key Company policies and standards through spot checks during each store visit
    - Keep open line of communication with Franchise
    - Effectively complete store status report and review with manager in charge (MIC) during each visit to each store
    - Complete a weekly OER inspection on each store with goal to achieve 5 star status
    - Identify and diagnose most important ongoing operational gaps in under performing stores
    - Develop formal action plans to resolve gaps
    - Coordinate field support resources (Franchisee, OER Evaluator, Franchise Consultant) where/when required to address gaps
    - Empower GMs and AMs to execute action plans
    - Track progress and reinforce action plans
    - Ensure all equipment in store/s is maintained and in working order
    - Ensure excellent Customer service

  • Financial Oversight
    - Review key financial variables as part of store visit pre-planning
    - Take daily numbers and react during store visit pre-planning
    - Analyze and track key financial/operational results weekly using sign in sheet/weekly keys
    - Ensure stores are meeting operating plan through the use of P/L reviews

  • Leadership Role in Market Development
    - Coordinate with Franchisee and GM of each store to develop a comprehensive marketing plan
    - Drive the development and execution of Local Store Marketing (LSM) initiatives to grow Average Weekly Sales
    - Coordinate field support resources to execute LSM initiatives
    - Empower GMs to take leadership role in executing LSM (e.g. develop relationships in schools, community, etc.)

  • Administrative
    - Submit weekly priority schedule to the Franchisee
    - Review and complete all necessary paperwork in timely manner (e.g. office/store paperwork)
    - Do period audits on each store
    - Conduct 2 AM training sessions per month
    - Conduct a minimum of one Managers Meeting per month
    - Schedule GMs and AMs for classes needed to continue their development
    - Conduct quarterly Job Performance Reviews on all GMs and AMs
    - Complete all safety and security paperwork timely
    - Send in expense reports monthly

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.  

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Franchise District Manager Job

  • Prior Franchise experience
  • Proven success in managing a 4/5 star single unit store/or prior experience in Pizza/Restaurant Industry in 4/5 star World Class Managed Store; Proven success in managing others
  • 2-4 years operations experience
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Outstanding motivational skills and positive attitude
  • Strong leadership and problems solving skills
  • Strong financial analysis and presentation skills
  • Ability to empower Store Teams (e.g. GMs, AMs and crew)
  • Capability with POS software; MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Proven ability to attract/recruit, train, retain and promote high achievers
  • Good driving record. 

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Franchise District Manager Job

  • B.S. degree in Business or Marketing required; MS degree preferred.
