Facility Operations Manager Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Facility Operations Manager will be responsible for people and team development, cost parameters, and service to customers (internal and external). He/She will be responsible for a work team of 15-30 technicians, primarily warehousers.

The Facility Operations Manager will begin his/her assignment with a 10 to 12 week "on-boarding" program in which he/she will work distribution, manufacturing, and sales operations while assisting team members in solving problems and improving performance.

Job Description:

The Facility Operations Manager will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • The Facility Operations Manager will interface with product direct delivery customers, vend customers and Company Sales associates

  • He/She will motivate team members to achieve plan goals

  • Develop team to solve own day-to-day operational issues

  • The Facility Operations Manager will develop and execute annual/quarterly service targets and objectives

  • The Facility Operations Manager will perform daily production shift reconciliation and make necessary adjustments

  • Administer policies and practices. 

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Facility Operations Manager Job

  • The Facility Operations Manager should have 2-5 years experience in warehouse environment
  • He/She should demonstrate people and leadership skills
  • The Facility Operations Manager should possess coaching, facilitating and team building skills
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills
  • Flexible - willingness to work off shifts and weekends
  • Work 55 to 60 hours per week schedule
  • The Facility Operations Manager must be able to see (depth perception, near acuity and far acuity) and hear
  • Maneuver safely around moving equipment and/or in congested areas
  • The Facility Operations Manager must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures (hot and/or cold depending upon season and site location
  • Pass a drug screen and background investigation
  • He/She must be able to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, ear plugs/muffs, steel-toed shoes, rubber gloves/boots, etc.  

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Facility Operations Manager Job

  • The Facility Operations Manager should possess Bachelor's Degree.
