Compensation Manager Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Compensation Manager will be responsible for managing the Bank’s total compensation program, including: salary administration, job classification and variable pay programs.

Job Description:

The Compensation Manager will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Ensure competitive and equitable pay philosophy and programs that are in compliance with federal, state and industry regulations, as well as with Bank policies

  • Direct an organized, systematic approach for tracking and evaluating total compensation impact on individual pay to support attraction and retention of qualified associates

  • Regularly challenge and assess compensation methodology and delivery for continual improvement of process and effective pay management

  • Develop and maintain internal relationships with business partners to ensure continuing knowledge of primary business drivers and the relative value of the compensation strategy to accomplish objectives

  • Develop management reports regarding trends and internal activity to address competition, retention and internal equitability

  • Research and develop holistic compensation solutions to meet the changing needs of the Bank aligned with the overall profitability objectives of the Bank.     

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Compensation Manager Job

  • Knowledge of point factor and market evaluation methodology
  • Advanced computer applications, including MS Office suite, graphics, pivot tables
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Thorough understanding of employment and compensation regulation
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate others to achieve desired results
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Ability to manage concurrent assignments and manage priorities
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated sound judgment
  • Ability to diplomatically manage differences of opinion
  • Ability to build strategic relationships.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Compensation Manager Job

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus minimum 8 years in a Human Resources management position or post high school education plus minimum 10 years in a Human Resources discipline, with minimum of 6 years in a Human Resources management position with the Bank, and HR discipline.
