The Clinical Manager Pediatric ICU will be responsible for facilitating and implementing strategic initiatives for the organization in providing quality patient care in a cost-effective manner at the unit level.

He/She will manage, direct and evaluate nursing practices to support and develop personnel in the provision of patient care activities. He/She will facilitate participative management process on the unit; collaborate with physicians and other health care disciplines to assure optimal patient care.

Job Description:

The Clinical Manager Pediatric ICU will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• Serve as chief retention officer for unit/dept

• Maintain effective working relations with both internal and external customers

• Manage, develop, implement and evaluate standards of nursing to facilitate quality patient care, efficiency and cost effectiveness

• Prepare of departmental budgets (supplies, equipment, personnel)

• Responsible for budget management and performance and fiscal oversight of all areas of responsibility

• Responsible for personal and professional growth and development.   

• 5 years of relevant clinical experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience.

• BSN, Masters or MSN preferred
• Current licensure in the State where position is available
• RN
• PALS Certification.
