Job Summary:
The
Capital Project Manager Senior -
Biotechnology will be
responsible for executing yearly
shutdowns and aspects of complex
projects that support improvements to
the Company's biologics operations. In
addition to capital projects and
shutdowns, he/she will be responsible
for supporting and implementing a
structured project management process
aligned with Company's corporate capital
project Stage Gate philosophy.

The
Capital Project Manager Senior -
Biotechnology will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
Execute the planning, design, and
implementation of assigned capital
projects and shutdowns for
Company Biologics
Accountable for project management
through the entire work flow: Scope,
Engineering/Project/Commissioning/Validation,
Closeout
Manage project COST/SCHEDULE/SCOPE
as it relates to QUALITY and overall
stakeholder's requirements
Balance project risk and uncertainty
through risk management and
mitigation plans while maintaining
schedule and financial metrics
Maintain open communication with
stakeholders and communicate project
status updates to senior management
Coordinate in-house maintenance and
engineering staff, outside vendors,
and internal operations team to
execute successful yearly shutdowns
Manage progress of Project Engineers
and System Engineers to reduce the
risk of overall failure, maximize
benefits, and restrict costs
Implement project management best
practices through work plans,
critical path analysis, and earned
value milestones while utilizing the
Project Stage Gate methodology
Maintain and communicate
performance metrics to his/her team,
setting and maintaining high
expectations for team performance
Execute capital plan in compliance
with applicable codes, regulations,
and company standards.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Capital Project Manager Senior -
Biotechnology Job
5 - 8 years minimum relative experience
in pharmaceutical industry and related
regulatory, engineering, and
construction techniques
Experience in conceptual development,
design and implementation, planning and
scheduling, and project management of
major capital projects (up to $1MM)
Experience communicating and
collaborating at a variety of levels
with customers, vendors, equipment
suppliers, and operations staff
Strong leadership and
communication skills, work well in a
team environment, and be able to react
to changing business needs
Experience with utilities and process
piping design, bioprocess equipment, and
GMP & GDP practices
Experience at managing multi disciplined
technical staff and experience
supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing
operations
Excellent organizational skills with
demonstrated ability to execute projects
on time and on budget
Familiarity with MS Office
Applications, MS Project, SAP/Oracle,
and have good accounting practices
Ability to effectively work across
organizational and functional
boundaries and build effective cross
functional project teams.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or
Engineering Technology.
