Business Operations Manager, reporting
to the Vice President of Operations,
will oversee the pricing, costing and
market analysis for all internal
services offered by the Technical
Operations organization within tge
Company. He/She will have overall
accountability for managing individual
deliverables, as well as moving forward
key organizational priorities as a key
part of the team.

The
Business Operations Manager will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
Market Analysis for Infrastructure
Services – look at the traditional
hosting and cloud services markets
and understand how services are
priced, how they compare to our
current service offerings, and what
the underlying business models are
Work
closely with Finance and the Service
Owners to track unit costing and
develop pricing models for each of
our individual services
Analyze capital infrastructure
expenditures via working models to
predict the impact to costs/prices
before Company makes capital
purchases AND help the service
owners clearly articulate the ROI to
the proposed changes
Understand cloud, infrastructure and
other technical components well
enough to do apples to apples
benchmarking against external
services on a regular basis
Work
closely with the Service Owners to
produce Service Descriptions, SLA’s,
and even marketing collateral around
the Services Company provide.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Business Operations Manager Job
5 or more
years of experience in a product
management or services pricing role
Strong
experience building pricing and costing
models
5+ years
of experience in product management,
pricing, cost modeling and reporting in
the IT field, including 2+ years of
experience in large-scale operational
support
Demonstrate a solid understanding of
technical operations, including IT,
Internet, and web services from
different backend providers
Strong
Excel skills, including model
development, pivot tables and reporting
Ability
to work with service owners across
various teams, including writing
operational specs, requirements and data
management
Strong
analytical and data presentation skills;
ability to present to all levels of
staff
Ability
to find actionable information from data
analysis, to organize results and
present findings to executives,
management and other technical staff
Proven
ability to manage vendor relationships
and negotiations
Ability
to evaluate results of technical POC’s,
including building and analyzing ROI and
driving recommendations
Communication of ideas and solutions in
a clear and organized manner
Effective
project and resource planning/management
Detailed
understanding of the goals and
requirements of the business supported
Ability
to relate to people and effectively
communicate under stressful
circumstances
Self-motivated, proactive and

Minimum Education Requirements /

BS or
BA in business/finance, computer
science, statistics or related field
or relevant work experience.
