Job Summary:
The
Assistant Nurse Manager, under the
direction of the Nurse Manager, will be
delegated certain responsibilities and
authority for managing a nursing unit.
He/She will be responsible for
coordinating, evaluating and improving
nursing care and assisting the Nurse
Manager in promoting safe, cost
effective, quality patient care.Job

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

Two
to three years of clinical
experience in Nursing, one year of
which is in the clinical
sub-specialty
-
Previous leadership experience and
knowledge of computer applications,
such as Excel, Word, Power Point and
Groupwise.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Assistant Nurse Manager Job

One
year of additional graduate
education may be substituted for one
year of experience with a maximum
substitution of two years. Or
Nursing Diploma may be substituted
for the required degree.

ADN
required; BSN preferred.
-
NCRN
licensure.
