Accounting Manager - Property Management Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager - Property Management will, under the general supervision and guidance of the CFO, support Property Managers in all aspects of company operations.

Job Description:

The Accounting Manager - Property Management will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Prepare timely and accurate Financial Statement and distribute per contract terms

  • Communicate financial status of associations to Property Managers

  • Contribute to managing cash management functions in order to protect assets of the associations and maximize asset return

  • Prepare bank reconciliations

  • Analyze income statements

  • Write highlights and comments for each financial statement prepared

  • Send financial statements to Property Managers and ultimately to the Association Board

  • Design and complete special reports as requested by Property Manager and the Board

  • Post legal homeowner charges from legal bills received from Legal Firms

  • Set up new accounts

  • Prepare financial information for new property Management Company upon termination

  • Manage cash with FDIC requirements and investments.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Accounting Manager - Property Management Job

  • 5 years accounting experience and 2 years in retail property accounting preferred
  • Previous experience working with property management specific accounting software packages preferred
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel
  • Knowledge of property management and accounting expertise
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service at all levels of the organization and with external partners
  • Strong analytical, organizational, time management and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to  exhibit a high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship-building ability, proactive, results-oriented, and resourceful
  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail. 

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Accounting Manager - Property Management Job

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
