The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for providing oversight for leading several IT Infrastructure upgrade projects. He/She will be responsible for the project and portfolio management of various projects and deliverables as assigned by the Client and will be working in collaboration with blended client and Company team members.

Job Description:

The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• Plan, direct, coordinate, monitor, and report on activities of the project teams

• Follow and promote established project management methodologies, standards, processes and procedures

• Initiate and lead project planning activities such as define project scope, objectives, charters, schedules, baselines, and work plans

• Manage infrastructure projects from initiation through execution and shutdown following PMI standards

• Create and facilitate project communication plans to include regular team status meetings and weekly project updates to management and customer.   

• 8+ years experience in Program/Project Management
• Experience managing infrastructure projects including hardware and software upgrades and implementation
• Strong working knowledge of scheduling tools, including MS Project
• Strong, proven project management experience, including all aspects of project start-up, shutdown and execution control processes as well as strong vendor/client relationship management
• Proven experience leading infrastructure upgrade and implementation projects is a strong preference following PMI standard methodologies
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Broad understanding of various infrastructure technology areas including Oracle databases, AIX platforms, EMC storage, HP platforms, desktop support, networks and Linux platforms
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.

• Bachelors Degree
• PMP Certification highly desired but not required.
