Job Summary:

The Marketing Communications Manager-Healthcare will be a part of setting the strategic communications direction for a defined industry - healthcare - to accomplish specific Marketing and Communications objectives across Communications disciplines - Customer Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Brand, and Employee Communications.

Job Description:

The Marketing Communications Manager-Healthcare will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Work with cross-functional group of Communications professionals in the creation of an integrated communications plan for a defined industry segment

  • Coordinate input into plan, provide direction to the agency and assemble all sections of the plan

  • Develop series of presentations to socialize the plan with senior communications management as well as will stakeholders across the organization and each of the global regions

  • Craft and evolve message platforms designed to focus communications deliverables around core value, ensure message consistency across channels and deliverables, and build brand

  • Write customer facing communications leveraging expertise within the segment, a deep understanding of the customers’ pain points and processes, and designed to convey quantifiable value and outcomes

  • Coordinate efforts across communications disciplines to ensure deliverable dates are met

  • Create, manage, and report industry segment communications budget

  • Manage individual projects within budget parameters to ensure scope does not exceed budget

  • Ensure flexibility to accommodate ever-changing communication needs

  • Lead the writing of an integrated communications plan with input from stakeholders/agencies

  • Manage the production and copywriting for external communications materials including brochures, emails, PPT presentations, scripts and other tools

  • Develop project plans

  • Monthly budget reconciliation, monthly results report.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Marketing Communications Manager-Healthcare Job

  • Proven professional writing and project management skills are a necessity, as well as the ability to load balance across multiple large-scale projects
  • Demonstrated ability to consume a large volume of inputs from a variety of sources to create an integrated communication plan, develop message strategy, and write copy that achieves marketing and communications objectives
  • Strong business and creative writing skills with targeted and impactful messages
  • Ability to make strategic recommendations to positively impact projects; ability to generate positive return-on-investment
  • Outstanding people skills with the ability to form trusting relationships, work collaboratively and build personal credibility and brand
  • Good issues management and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively upward to senior management with the appropriate level of detail, across the project team to ensure direction is set and instructions are clear, and with other stakeholders to share information
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage a budget and to ensure projects are delivered within budget
  • Experience in healthcare in communications strategy and as a professional writer
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Strategy and professional writing experience in more than one field of communications (public relations, relationship marketing, brand, customer communications) preferred.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Marketing Communications Manager-Healthcare Job

  • Bachelor’s degree mandatory, MBA preferred.
