Job
Description:
The
Fixed Income Portfolio Manager will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
Develop and recommend appropriate
allocation of fixed income
investment assets within policy
targets and risk/return objectives
Develop and execute long-term
strategic and annual tactical plans
to meet portfolio objectives
Research and evaluate economic and
market conditions/trends
Assess and develop risk budgeting
tools for the portfolio
Investment Monitoring & Performance
Reporting
Investment manager performance
measurement including reporting
results to plan trustees and senior
management
Creation of framework for analyzing
and reporting investment performance
relative to appropriate benchmarks
as well as plan liability
Investment Screening, Due Diligence,
Selection, and Relationship
Management
Conduct manager searches using
industry databases, industry
relationships, as well as outside
advisors
Negotiate business terms and execute
investment management agreements
with fund management
On-site due diligence with current
and potential managers
Manage the transition of investment
transactions
Build
close partnership relationships with
current managers
Gain
membership to plan sponsor
associations and attend relevant
meetings and industry conferences.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Fixed Income Portfolio
Manager Job

Material knowledge of global
markets, economics, and portfolio
theory
-
Investment management experience
with a financial institution,
consulting organization, pension
fund, endowment or foundation

Strong analytical and technical
skills including advanced knowledge
Microsoft Excel
-
Highly motivated self-started with a
strong work ethic and a high degree
of integrity
-
Effective written and verbal
communication skills
-
Demonstrated ability to work
effectively with others, both inside
and outside of the organization.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Fixed Income Portfolio Manager
Job

Master's Degree preferred from an
accredited college or university,
with major coursework in investments
or finance. If coursework outside
these areas, a CFA designation is
preferred.
