The
Director Project Management is
responsible for delivering quality
products and solutions to customers by
understanding product strategy and
customer needs, supporting the
development of business cases,
developing business requirements, and
supporting product development and
deployment.
The Director, Project Management role
provides leadership and support to
business and system partners through
requirements gathering, process
development and training programs. There
is joint responsibility with the lead
systems manager to provide technical
oversight to ensure business
requirements are met, monitor project
plans, manage budgets, align resources
and manage change.

Provide and ensure (either directly
or through subordinate Project
Managers) integrated oversight and
controls from initial Project
Assessment through to Launch for all
Business Readiness and Technology
Solution activities and deliverables
to ensure that scope is met on
schedule and within budget
Expert understanding of the Project
Life Cycle deliverables: Project
Charter (Project Planning &
Initiation-PPI), Business
Requirements Document (BRD/ARL),
Service Model, User Acceptance
Testing (UAT), Rollout Procedures
(Transition/TRA)
Participate in the review of:
Systems Prospectus (Systems
Requirements Analysis-SRA), Systems
Delivery Specs (SDS), User Procedure
Documents (UPD), Training Documents
Direct the management and
implementation of multiple large and
complex projects: develop project
plans and timelines; make staffing
decisions based on assessment of
team members' skills and workloads;
and identify obstacles
Typically manage a large group of
professionals indirectly, and/or or
matrix managed through other SD
portfolio groups and/or business
units
Assess skills, knowledge, and
abilities of candidates to make
effective hiring and merit/bonus
decisions and identified
developmental needs
Provide training and development
opportunities and serve in mentoring
role for team.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Director Project
Management Job
10+ years
of related project/program management
experience in financial services,
systems development, product
development, and/or project/product
management
Experience in Six Sigma disciplines
would be a plus
Proven
track record of excellent project
management skills demonstrated for
challenging client, complex interrelated
or technically oriented projects
Excellent
understanding of one or more lines of
business, and previous exposure or
experience with multiple benefit
products
Excellent
consultative, listening, communications
and analytical skills
Excellent
interpersonal skills, including the
ability to work across the organization
and interact/influence/negotiate
effectively at all levels of management
and peers
Critical
thinker with excellent judgment and
strong initiative
Experience in demonstrating
