IT Change Management Project Manager Job Description

 

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The IT Change Management Project Manager  is responsible for the day to day IT Change Management function at the Company.

Job Description:

The IT Change Management Project Manager will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Review requests for Changes to Production on a daily basis to ensure the requests are compliant with Company Change Management and IT Compliance policies and standards

  • Ensure the appropriate approvals are obtained as well as the required information is complete before changes are approved

  • Coordinate and facilitate Change Review weekly meetings with IS&T Key representatives and Change Request owners to review upcoming change requests and ensure approvals are met

  • Responsible for identifying and reporting any potential conflicts before they become problems

  • Hold training sessions so that each IS&T group is aware of the Biscotti reports that will supply the same information that is being currently being covered in the weekly meetings

  • Enforce IS&T Change Management policies and recommend best practices

  • Ensure Change Requests are sufficiently documented and authorized

  • Ensure each Change Request submitted has the appropriate risk assigned, depending on what is being changed, all questions are answered appropriately, correct approver nodes are assigned as well as the identified documentation is attached or where the documentation an be found is identified

  • Interface directly with CR initiators, approvers, and implementers as needed

  • Communicate CR statuses and impacts to stakeholders

  • Support any escalations to Change Management group (both in CRs, SRs, ARs and tickets)

  • Facilitate Change Review Board meetings with stakeholders while IS&T continues to use the “Classic” process

  • When the new process of Biscotti is adopted, work with key stakeholders and groups to help them use the FSC (Forward Schedule of Change) reports in Espresso in lieu of weekly CRB meetings. This may involve training and departmental customization to view the reports for their specific needs

  • Maintain Change Management content on IS&T internal web pages

  • Provide general Espresso administration and support, participate in testing

  • Assist the Senior Change Management Position in ensuring Change Management resource inventory (CMDB) is kept up-to-date, facilitate with resource owners as needed

  • Work in conjunction with Change Management Program manger to provide off-hours support of ECRs

  • CR Posts

  • Run weekly reports for high priority tickets requiring CR posts

  • Ensure CR Posts are submitted.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For IT Change Management Project Manager Job

  • Knowledge of Change Management methodologies and systems, especially as implemented in an information technology environment

  • Ability to manage and resolve issues in a highly-matrixed environment

  • Clear and effective written, verbal and presentation communication

  • Ability to work with professional teams across Company, IS&T, as well as Executive Management

  • Ability to establish daily and weekly priorities

  • Ability to demonstrate discipline and offer independent judgment, be a team player and a self-starter.
    Reliable follow-up and exceptional organizational abilities

  • Demonstrated deep analysis and follow-through skills

  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage varying priorities

  • Ability to work independently with little management direction

  • Ability le to adjust interpersonal approach to individuals and situations as needed

  • Conduct clear, concise, and efficient meetings

  • Maintain and develop relationships within the IS&T organization

  • Demonstrated commitment to identifying and communicating innovative ideas to improve processes and performance

  • Ability to proactively seek problem resolutions while working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment

  • OSX Proficient (Latest Mac OS experience a plus!)

  • PHP AJAX and HTML proficiency

  • Knowledge of ITIL; hands-on experience managing CMDB taxonomies and discoveries is a plus

  • Experience working in IT and/or Change Management a plus

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For IT Change Management Project Manager Job

  • BS in MIS or related field, with overall experience = 10 years.
